Caring for people in the regions of presence, social and charitable activities, including such important areas as sports, education, culture, are the company’s business card.

Sponsorship and charity are an essential area of social policy of socially responsible companies. Assistance is constantly provided to low-income families, mothers-heroines, war veterans, their widows, the disabled, public foundations and organizations.

A memorandum on socio-economic cooperation in Kyzylorda and Turkistan regions is signed annually.

In December 2008, the company was awarded with «Kamkorlyk» statuette for its contribution to social development. In the same year, «SOUTH-OIL», participating in the competition on social responsibility of business, became the winner in the nomination «Best Social Project of the Year» and it was awarded with the golden statuette «Paryz».

As part of the socio-economic development of the region from 2010 to 2022, «SOUTH-OIL» paid more than 3.5 billion tenge of social obligations. The largest social projects have become a noticeable phenomenon not only in the region of the company’s presence, but also nationwide.

  • Tennis court in Kyzylorda city – the project value is 410 million. capacity of 80 people. The tennis center «Nursat» was built in Kyzylorda in 2010, the First President of the country Nursultan Nazarbayev took part in the solemn procedure of putting the complex into operation. The complex was built within «Social Responsibility of Business» program. Today, the complex with 6 tennis courts is the pride of Kyzylorda, the main object of tennis infrastructure in the region. 168 million tenge was additionally allocated for modernization of four summer tennis courts in Kyzylorda.

  • A sports and recreation complex with 100 seats was built on the shore of Kamystybas Lake in Aral district of Kyzylorda region. The cost of construction is 2 billion 334 million tenge. Today, the complex is transferred to the ownership of Akimat of Aral district. It operates as a center for improving health and additional education of children.

  • The cultural and health complex «Syr-Samaly» in Kyzylorda city can receive 600 visitors. The center includes a fitness center, a swimming pool, a hotel, a sauna and a restaurant with 600 seats. The cost of the facility, including equipment, is 1 billion rubles. 260 million tenge. More than 20 people have received permanent jobs here.

  • «Muz Saraiy» Ice Palace has been operating in Shymkent since 2005. After «SOUTH-OIL» company bought the palace at an auction announced by akimat, it underwent repair and large-scale reconstruction. The total area of the complex is 1.46 hectares, the total area of the palace is 8014.4 m2, and the ice arena is 1800 m2. The auditorium has increased to 2,519 seats. The Sports Palace is equipped with modern equipment from the Finnish company «Suomen Tekojaa Oy», it is a world-famous supplier of refrigeration equipment for sports. There is a highly efficient energy-saving system that takes into account the climatic conditions of the south of the country. A ZAMBONI ice filling machine was purchased to process the ice arena of the Palace. The specialized purpose of the facility is the introduction and development of winter sports on ice: ice hockey, figure skating, short track. The ice arena of the Palace is also open to all skating enthusiasts, there is a rental point for famous brands of skates, there are services for sharpening and repairing skates, qualified instructors work. Visitors can engage not only in winter sports, there is an equipped fitness room, where there are wellness classes with population- aerobics, shaping, pilates, yoga, callanetics, table tennis. In hot Shymkent, the Ice Palace is a favorite recreation place for citizens, a sports and entertainment complex where they can play sports, organize mass corporate and cultural events. After all, the ice arena is a great place for spectacular theatrical performances – ice shows, ice theater productions and others. For this purpose, the use of a special quick-release coating is provided to ensure ice safety. The Palace often hosts concert programs with participation of pop stars.

  • In 2022, «SOUTH-OIL» transferred 500 million tenge to Kazakhstan Khalkyna Fund. On January 11, 2022, the President instructed to create a public social fund «Kazakstan Khalkyna» to solve problems in the field of healthcare, education and social support. All funds received by the Fund from donors go to the implementation of development projects and programs of the Fund.
