About project

The new project is connected with the expansion of production of Talas Investment Company» in the Talas district of Zhambyl region, the Kazakhstan’s only plant for the production of sodium cyanide. These products are used by gold mining companies that are dependent on foreign suppliers. Besides, sodium cyanide is needed in the production of dyes, to improve the wear resistance of steel products, in agriculture, and many other industries.

The project is included in the Industrialization Map, and a contract has been signed with TSS Group, major Chinese corporation. The land plot allocated in the industrial zone of Zhambyl region. The design and estimate documentation has been developed and the conclusion of the government expert review has been obtained on infrastructure facilities for HUD, a budget call has been submitted. The financing issues have been solved, and a contract for the supply and installation of equipment has been signed with the China Tianchen Engineering Corporation (TCC), and the engineering layout and cost estimate calculations have been prepared. An investment contract was signed with the Investment Committee.

The construction of the plant is scheduled to begin in 2023. The new production facility will employ 300 people, estimated amount of tax deductions for 10 years – 15 bln KZT.
