The new project is implemented jointly with Chinese partners, an EPC-contract was signed with Sinoma TCDRI. The production will produce several types of eagerly sought products: caustic soda, calcium carbide, high-quality cement, lime, and PVC. These products are needed for the country’s industry, but, for example, lime is not produced in Kazakhstan, and it is essential for copper production, which means it is in demand at Kazakhmys and other enterprises in Kazakhstan, Turkey, China, and Russia.

The project is unique as it uses modern technologies, environmentally clean manufacturing. The implementation of project will cover the deficit of PVC and calcium carbide in the country, which are currently 100% imported goods.

Currently, the feasibility study and detailed design of the plant have been completed, the conclusion of the State Expert Review Board has been obtained. The earth and preparatory work has begun at the site, railroad tracks are being laid. The construction will start in April 2023.

Already at the construction stage 800 people will be employed at the site, and after the launch there will be 1,000 jobs. The planned volume of tax deductions over 10 years — 89,3 bln KZT.
